| Abstract: | Galileo's letter to Piero Dini of March 23, 1615 has long puzzled historians because of the seemingly quircky metaphysics of light it contains. Yet in recent times a number of studies have significantly increased our understanding of Galileo's aims and motivations by tracing back some of the sources he used: this study, expanding on this line of research, aims at demonstrating that Luis de Granada's Introduttione del simbolo della fede may as well be counted among such sources |
