"Gotthilf Heinrich von Schubert (1780-1860) was an important figure of the romantic school of natural philosophy in the early 19th century. In this essay the author retraces Schubert's theory of language within the context of his well-known book "Die Symbolik des Traumes" (first edition 1814).
