| Abstract: | The following work deals with the publication of a list of the Stromenti appartenuti al Real Osservatorio di Napoli, written in 1812 by Federigo Zuccari and a short correspondence, (13 letters at all), between Federigo Zuccari and Giovan Battista Amici. The first is a document of the Archivio di Stato of Naples. It is a relevant proof of the condition of astronomy in Naples on the eve of the building of the new Observatory of Capodimonte. The Zuccari-Amici correspondence was written between 15 June, 1811 and 5 May, 1816 (even if 11 letters refer to the period between 15 June, 1811 and 15 January, 1813). It links up the events of the construction of the new Observatory, and deals with the purchase and the transfer, from Modena to Naples, of a telescope made by Amici. It was one of the first important instruments of the new Observatory's equipment |
