Giovanni Alfonso Borelli e la visibilità di Venere / Guglielmo Righini, Thomas B. Settle.
Abstract:
In April 1662 Borelli gave notice that on the 21st and 22nd of that month Venus would be visible as both an evening star and a morning star, and he circulated a table showing the results of his calculations, urging colleagues to perform the appropriate observations. With little to go on but those results themselves, we have tested them in various ways and have tried to discover Borelli's calculating techniques as well as some of his sources
