Abstract:
A "gentleman's residence" in the country of Florence was the last home of Galileo. This monument has been the object of a philological study: by comparing the historical data from a research carried out in the Archives and technical observations obtained from direct inspection and measurements, the architectural history of the house through the centuries was reconstructed; the greatest attention was given to its structure at the time when Galileo lived there
