| Abstract: | The article takes into consideration once more, the problem of the relationships between hermetic tradition and modern science. It dwells on the theme of mixtures and on that of contrapositions. It deals with public knowledge in an age largely dominated by dissimulation. It presents the author's position on the theses of Ernesto De Martino and of Frances Yates. It clarifies his position on several recent interpretations of the philosophy of Giordano Bruno and of its significance for modernity. |
